Rangkat Brocade is an exceptionally rare and labor-intensive handloom technique from Varanasi, characterized by vibrant, multi-colored base gradients and color-blocked stripes. Unlike standard brocades, the "Rangkat" (meaning "colored warp") process involves meticulously dyeing the warp threads in various shades and making frequent changes in both the warp and weft during weaving.
